COMPARATIVE PUBLIC HEALTH

Spring Quarter Study Program
London, England

HOW DO DIFFERENT COUNTRIES APPROACH HEALTH CARE? IS FREE HEALTH CARE A HUMAN RIGHT? WHAT ARE THE ETHICAL, LEGAL, AND SOCIAL IMPLICATIONS OF GENETICS IN CLINICAL PRACTICE?

Explore these controversial topics and more during this quarter-long study program with FIE. Examine the differences in health systems around the world in the US/UK such as the NHS and Obamacare.

London provides an exciting backdrop for co-curricular activities around the city that can't be replicated anywhere else in the world. Example field trips include historical and cultural sites that explain the evolution of health care policy, ethics, and genetics such as the Alexander Fleming Laboratory Museum, the Old Operating Theatre, and the Royal London Hospital Museum.

You can also choose from a selection of humanities electives such as literature, music, and marketing to complement your health related studies in London.

Live and study in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, just steps away from some of the world's great cultural centers like Kensington Palace, Royal Albert Hall, and the Natural History Museum.
