Volunteer Abroad in Thailand

Why Thailand?
As one of the largest, most populous, and most ecologically diverse nations in Southeast Asia, Thailand has long been a popular destination for tourists. Visitors are drawn to its friendly people, stunning scenery, and world-renowned cuisine. Beyond the Thailand that most tourists experience, however, there are many social and environmental challenges plaguing the country. World Endeavors volunteers in Thailand can make a meaningful contribution to Thai society through a community-focused volunteer project, all while experiencing immersion in authentic Thai culture.

Program Information

Live in Singburi, Thailand
Singburi was founded under the reign of King Rama V through the consolidation of 3 small towns located on the bank of The Chao Phraya River. The three small towns, Sing Buri, In Buri and Phrom Buri, were then established as a single town on the west of the Chao Phraya River in 1895. Your new home is set close to the village of Tha Kham, an extremely rural area that will give you the chance to experience the Thailand that very few get to see.

Some projects are located in other areas of Thailand, see project details for more information.

In the evenings and on weekends, volunteers are able to spend their time among numerous cultural, educational, and entertainment activities. Volunteers can explore the markets, temples, and sample amazing street food, or they can head farther afield to experience the fascinating hill tribes in the north or the sparkling turquoise beaches in the south. The World Endeavors Thailand coordinator can provide guidance and travel tips for those wishing to explore the country.
