Middlebury School in Israel

The School in Israel is located in Beer Sheva, in the heart of the Negev desert in southern Israel. One of the world’s oldest cities, Beer Sheva dates back 6,000 years and its inhabitants have ranged from nomads and Romans to Ottomans.

Located in an area rich with Biblical and archeological history, the city is now a modern regional capital with a population of about 185,000, including a large number of Russian and Ethiopian Jews who arrived in the 1990s.

The School in Israel is affiliated with Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, a premier research institution renowned for its strong academics and teaching, as well as for its local and international ties.
