Program Overview

Your Summer in Santiago program lasts 6 weeks (or up to 12 weeks) and is designed for students from all academic backgrounds. You will enroll in CIEE courses. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Dominican culture. Live and learn in Santiago!

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Santiago de los Caballeros will open doors for you to explore Chile's rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.

  • Enjoy a refreshing nature walk through Jarabacoa’s beautiful landscapes, with a chance to hike, explore flower fields, and take a dip in cold river waters
  • Walk the Colonial Zone in Santo Domingo, where you'll stroll through cobblestone streets, explore the historic Parque Colón, and enjoy a coffee or snack while soaking in the cultural vibe of the city
  • Discover the historic charm of Puerto Plata and unwind with a swim in the crystal-clear waters of one of the best beaches along the Atlantic coast
