Food Justice in Guatemala: A Holistic Approach to Health and Healthy Communities
        Guatemala Collage
Preceptorship. Practicum. Fieldwork. Adventure.
This custom program is an intensive and interactive study abroad and service opportunity. Students engage with the culture, food, lifestyle, agriculture economy and the human, animal and environmental health of Guatemala through expert lecturers, service projects and site visits. During this program, students will critically examine the social, political and cultural impact of food production on the environment, animals and people of Guatemala both in and out of the classroom setting. If you wish academics for credit, you can study Spanish Language and the IPSL "Guatemala One Health: Ecology, Culture, Justice" course.

Join IPSL and their partner Origins of Food for a OneHealth program and explore Guatemala and  engage with the foods and cultures, the agricultural economy, as well as the human, animal, and environmental health of this diverse country. Meet and interact with farmers, women-led permaculture cooperatives, food justice NGOs, sustainable cocoa and coffee growers, and more.
