Program Description:
Gain Valuable Teaching Experience and Become TEFL Certified in Thailand
Give your teaching career a head start when you join an English teaching internship in stunning Thailand.

 phang nga landscape

Become a fully qualified TEFL teacher and put your skills to good use teaching English in a local community nestled between the white sand beaches and tropical jungles of the breath-taking Andaman region.

From this location we offer short-term volunteering starting from 2 weeks. We also offer internships which would include one-on-one mentoring and training by expert GVI staff and on longer durations can lead to job placements.

Volunteers can expect the following highlights on this program
  • Begin or expand on career opportunities in teaching and make a difference to students and the wider community
  • Complete TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) training for your full certification.
  • Upon completion of your training, you will start your work placement, using your new found skills as a professional TEFL teacher, becoming further immersed in this friendly and fascinating culture.
Teaching positions can be paid or unpaid, range in duration from one month to one year, and availability varies. All internships are geared at developing your leadership and role model skills, allowing you to develop a variety of key soft and hard skills that will put you a step ahead the rest of the pack.
GVI works directly with communities in Thailand in order to; provide free English lessons to the community; train local teachers; assist in the development of sustainable local business; and, develop lesson plans to highlight important issues in the wider community.

GVI works with local partner organizations to meet the growing need for English language education. Work placements take place at schools or community centres throughout the Phang Nga Province.

If applying for this program to obtain credit from an institution, GVI can supply learning outcomes and support in the application.
Risk assessment available upon request, please contact GVI for more details.

** After a successful internship, qualifying candidates may be given the opportunity to work for GVI or selected partner organizations in Thailand or in other countries around the world where GVI operate.
***Qualification for possible GVI positions is at the sole discretion of Global Vision International.
