Study Abroad at Ben-Gurion University
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) is a research powerhouse with state-of-the-art facilities, 60 interdisciplinary research hubs, several affiliated hospitals, and a diverse, dynamic, welcoming community of students.

BGU offers you, as an international student, access to hundreds of academic courses in English in various fields, one-on-one guidance, and unparalleled opportunities all while earning credits toward your degree. At BGU, our team of academic and social counselors are here to help you find exactly what you're looking for – and to feel at home on our campus.

As part of your experience studying abroad at BGU, you will also explore Israel on trips organized by BGU International, where you will learn about the country’s history, landscape, and diverse traditions.

Those who are looking for a shorter experience can enroll in one of our summer programs: Data Mining & Business Intelligence for Cyber Security Applications, Sustainable Agricultural Solutions, and the Global Health International Summer Program.

You'll have the opportunity to explore diverse cultures, immerse yourself into the Israeli student population, as well as become part of a tight-knit international community.

Beer-Sheva & The Negev Region

BGU is located in Be'er Sheva, Israel, which is known as the capital of the Southern Region - the Negev. The city boasts a diverse population of 200,000 people, and over 50% of the city's population is under the age of thirty-five, making it an ideal location to experience the young and vibrant life of contemporary Israel.

BGU's Be'er Sheva campus is known as being the most vibrant, social, diverse, and active campus in Israel, while the city still has a relatively low cost of living.

Be'er-Sheva's location in southern Israel means it is surrounded by gorgeous desert views, but also an easy hour-long train ride away from Tel-Aviv and an hour bus ride from Jerusalem.
