Program Description:

Marburg Stand-Alone
Welcome to Your New Wahlheimat:
The Marburg Stand-Alone Program

AKA the Nuts-and-Bolts Program Option.  Arrive in Marburg for orientation just before the semester starts and be participating in Uni Marburg classes within two weeks.  It's the flexible, economical approach to our program offering in Marburg.
Students will be required by the local officials in Germany to purchase a local health insurance policy, and we can gladly connect you with the DAK. 

Join us for two consecutive semesters / an academic year and receive a discount on your second semester.

Another important perk:  you can keep your student housing over the Christmas and semester breaks and travel as you please.

Business internship available.

Social media scholarship available.

Wide range of volunteer opportunities available.

Cultural and social activities include:
  • Group travel, guided tours and visits to museums in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin
  • Visit to the Brandenburg Gate, the Filmmuseum, the Städel, the Mahnmal
  • Regulalry scheduled home-cooked meals and get-togethers at director's home
  • Movie night
  • Theater night
  • Cooking lessons
  • Opera night

Group and individual academic advising throughout the semester.  Achievement Study Abroad transcript issued to your home college or university.

Program dates: 

Fall semester from late September till Christmas OR into January, depending on when you need to be back on your home campus for the spring semester.  Most fall semester students depart when Christmas break starts.
Spring semester from late March till late July.
