Suitable for students or recent graduates with at least one year of university study in a related topic, such as law, political science, international relations, etc. Knowledge of social media and digital communications is required. Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Internship Details

Youth Development & Education internships in Spain are perfect for interns looking for real-world experience within the field of education. Many different internship placements are available, including supporting roles as teachers, teacher aides, tutors, youth mentors, sports coaches, and much more. Internships within this field can assist school students of all ages and education levels.

As an intern, you may be matched with a private school or NGO placement, which is assigned according to your skills, experience, and any expressed preferences. The schools that we can work with for these internships are bilingual, so placements are suitable for international interns who are not fully fluent in Spanish. However, if you would like to enhance your Spanish language skills to further your professional development and employability, then this is an excellent opportunity to do so. There is scope for interns to assist both Spanish classroom teachers and English classroom teachers.

Interns passionate about teaching can expect to assist with one-on-one reading, oral presentations, individual group work, and may provide classroom assistance on subjects such as cooking, art and sports. Interns can also help to provide additional support to students that need it and help teachers with lesson preparation and marking.

Those interested in youth development may assist NGOs with after school or holiday programs, acting as mentors or sports coaches for students of all ages. You can provide support with social or development issues and help to foster positive relationships within young people.
