Internship Details

Get valuable experience in Digital Media & Marketing, helping develop strategies to strengthen social media presence, outreach, and environmental education resources. This internship will enhance your practical skills in the field and give you insight into proactive creative outreach strategies that organizations can utilize.

Take this opportunity in the field of marketing and communications, while also gaining insight into grassroots commercial business or NGO/NGO operations. Learn about sustainability principles and put marketing and digital media skills to use. Your efforts will help effectively create, manage, and analyze content and campaigns, to increase brand awareness and visibility. As an intern, you have creative freedom to develop fresh strategies that enhance the organization’s online presence and engage the community.

While various team members may collaborate, Digital Media & Marketing contributors provide crucial support, leadership and proactivity for information outreach, environmental education, awareness campaigns, strategy, and more.

In all cases, interns should expect that the first week of your experience will focus on settling in and gaining some introductory knowledge. Understand and expect that individual internship experiences vary, as some interns are at a more advanced level than others. If you’re at a more introductory level, you should reasonably expect a more introductory internship. Likewise, if you’re interning for a shorter duration, you will have a different experience from someone who is interning for a longer duration. Interns should be adaptable, proactive and willing to help where it’s needed.

Ensure that you ask questions and provide feedback during the introductory period, so that your supervisor understands how you’re progressing, what your interests and abilities are. This will help them to support your professional development, within reasonable boundaries. Preferences are always subject to availability.
