Program Overview

Your CIEE Summer Global Internship program in Taipei lasts 8 weeks and features two key components: a full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30-40 hours per week) and an internship seminar. Enhance your experience with cultural and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Taiwanese culture. Live, learn, and work in Taipei!

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Taipei will open doors for you to explore Taiwan’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, contemporary trends, vibrant art, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.

Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Discover Jiufen, a charming village with winding alleys, traditional tea houses, and delicious street food
  • Be whisked away on a captivating journey to the National Palace Museum, which houses the largest collection of Chinese art
  • Immerse yourself in Tainan, Taiwan’s first and oldest city and an ideal place to explore Taiwanese culture, tradition, and language

Minority Serving Institutions (MIS) Grant - $2,000/semester and $500/summer, guaranteed to all students attending MSIs.
