Your CIEE Summer Global Internship program in São Paulo lasts 8 weeks and features two key components: A full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30-40 hours per week) and an internship seminar. Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in São Paulo will open doors for you to explore Brazil’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, contemporary trends, vibrant art, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad. Samples of excursions and activities:

  • Take a guided tour through the city's colonial and modern landmarks, including the São Paulo Cathedral, Pátio do Colégio, and the bustling Mercado Municipal
  • Explore Nature at Serra da Cantareira, one of the world’s largest urban forests, where you will hike scenic trails and learn about local biodiversity
  • Visit the vibrant neighborhood of Liberdade, home to São Paulo’s Japanese-Brazilian community, before heading to an Afro-Brazilian cultural center
