This program emphasizes guided learning and structured observation, with limited hands-on practice appropriate for pre-professional learners. Participants will engage in:
  • OT and PT shadowing in both school-based and clinic-based settings
  • Small-group simulations and facilitated observation debriefs
  • Hands-on workshops focused on assessment tools, therapy strategies, and effective communication
  • Introductions to caregiver collaboration, dynamic assessment approaches, and informal screening tools

Accommodations 
Students and faculty will stay in comfortable lodgings featuring communal areas, meeting spaces, and plenty of outdoor spots to relax and explore. Private bus or van transportation—with a dedicated driver—will be provided throughout the program.

You’ll enjoy dependable WiFi, fresh drinking water, Western-style toilets and showers, and provided towels and linens. Rooms are shared, with individual beds and shared bathrooms.

Meals are prepared by local cooks and include a delicious blend of Belizean and Western cuisine. Dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice. Throughout your stay, you’ll experience the warmth and hospitality that make Belize feel like a home away from home!
