About This Trip
This interdisciplinary program offers hands-on speech-language pathology experience across Bulgaria and Greece, combining professional learning with cultural immersion. Designed for students seeking observation hours, international exposure, and clinical insight, the program emphasizes culturally responsive practice and ethical, community-based collaboration. In Bulgaria, participants work alongside licensed SLPs and local professionals in pediatric and geriatric settings, engaging in small-group therapy, caregiver education, applied behavior strategies, and informal assessment with interpreter support.
The program concludes in Greece with a focus on cultural exploration and global reflection. Through iconic historical and cultural experiences, participants deepen cultural humility and global awareness, strengthening their clinical perspective while gaining a broader understanding of how culture shapes care and communication.
