Internship Details
As Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu is the most iconic urban destination in the Himalayas. Tourism is the city’s major industry, where a range of hotels cater to travelers, year-round. For Human Resource Internships in Nepal, interns are hosted by hotels, where you can learn about the business departments which oversee all aspects of employee relations.
Human Resource Management internships are designed to provide hands-on experience in multiple HR functions. Interns are hosted within a hotel hospitality environment, with scope to be fully integrated into their HR team. Within a hospitality business, hotels can often deal with seasonal staffing, high turnover, and specialized talent needs - this environment can offer great learning opportunities and experiences for young professionals, to build strengths, confidence, and competencies, within a dynamic and multicultural environment.
Interns should expect that the first week of your experience will focus on settling in and gaining some introductory knowledge, to build an understanding of what you can develop, learn, and contribute. Interns are encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback, so that your supervisor(s) understands how you’re progressing and can assist to develop your internship accordingly. Interns should expect that a language barrier can be encountered to a certain extent. Come prepared and willing to surmount a language barrier (and ask for help when needed), as opposed to being intimidated by it.
Typical Schedule: Monday to Friday, up to 8 hours per day.
