For aspiring Medical students at various levels, with a desire or academic requirement to gain clinical exposure and observation, this internship program offers a unique opportunity. Medical interns in Poland have scope to shadow professionals across various medical specialties, witness real-time procedures and surgeries, and build experience that contributes to long-term academic and career development goals.

This program ranges from 2-12 weeks and has start dates every Monday throughout the year.

Your fully-hosted experience includes sourcing of your internship placement, personalization of your project plan, airport pick-up, orientation, accommodation, meals, and onsite student support. See our full list of fees and inclusions on our website.

Eligibility Requirements

Medical internships in Poland are suitable for students who have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in a related scientific field (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience, Behavioral Sciences, Physics, etc). Interns must have a genuine interest in medicine and commitment to observation of both surgical and non surgical procedures.

The supervisory medical team communicates fluently in English, assisting international interns with observation and mentorship opportunities.

Internship Details

Immerse yourself in the medical field, with a Medical internship in Poland. Interns gain essential shadowing experience, opportunity to explore different specialities, exposure to international healthcare standards, and insight into real-world clinical scenarios. Equip yourself for a successful and rewarding career as a healthcare professional.

Affordable Medical internships in Poland are ideal for pre-med or pre-health students seeking to navigate interests through practical shadowing and observational opportunities. Recent graduates are likewise welcome, if you’re looking to explore different medical specialties, which can help to inform future study goals.

As an intern, your day-to-day will consist of shadowing doctors, surgeons, and nurses during consultations, diagnostics and treatments. From general medicine and surgery, to emergency care, outpatient clinics, and more - there is broad scope to develop your understanding of how healthcare comes to life, and medical teams collaborate to deliver effective, patient-focused results.

Interns are not directly responsible for patient care and should not expect to independently perform hands-on procedures. At all times, supervision is handled by a range of medical staff, during rotations, and they will be in the best position to provide guidance, direction, and answer questions as they arise.

Interns may request to align medical internship rotations according to academic goals and career aspirations. For example: Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Dialysis, Emergency Room, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery (Cardiothoracic, Gastric, General, Neuro, Orofacial, Orthopedic, Plastic), Hematopathology, Intensive Care Unit, Nuclear Medicine, Oncology, Orthopedics, Pneumology, Radiology. Note that all rotation requests will be subject to availability.

The Medical internship program is based in Wroclaw, Poland. Aside from the visual beauty and tourism appeal of this city, Wroclaw is a vibrant university city with a quintessential European atmosphere and medieval Old Town. Medical interns in Wroclaw can immerse themselves in the rich cultural scene, enjoying historic attractions, modern amenities, and user-friendly city living.

Typical Schedule: Medical internships generally follow a Monday to Friday schedule and are considered full-time (up to 40 hours per week).
