Program Overview

Your Quarter in Seville program places you in the cultural heart of southern Spain, where history and community are woven into daily life, designed for students from all academic backgrounds. You will enroll in a combination of CIEE courses and courses taught online through CIEE’s global academic partner, ASU. Participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities like wandering Barrio Santa Cruz, attending flamenco shows, sampling tapas in local bars, or joining citywide celebrations. Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Seville will open doors for you to explore Spain’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.       

Samples of excursions and activities:

  • Take a overnight trip to Granada to visit stunning UNESCO sites like the Alhambra Palace and the historic Albaicín neighborhood
  • Learn to cook traditional Spanish dishes with a local chef, starting with a tour of the vibrant Triana Market to source fresh ingredients
  • Soak up Spanish culture through visits to some of the most emblematic neighborhoods such as Santa Cruz, the Cathedral, and the Giralda
