Global Crossroads

A semester in Malaga.

Courses are delivered at the Expanish Study Center, combining scientific study with humanities-based coursework. Classroom learning is complemented by site visits, guest speakers, and experiential projects that connect biotechnology and cultural analysis to real-world contexts.

The program brings together coursework in biotechnology and cultural studies, encouraging critical thinking across disciplines.

Core Courses at Expanish

Content courses connect biotechnology and cultural studies, delivered in English at the Expanish Study Center. Coursework is complemented by site visits, guest speakers, and experiential projects.

Spanish Courses

A Spanish language course is optional but strongly recommended. Courses are taught in Spanish and support deeper cultural immersion during your semester.

  • Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors in good academic standing
  • No prior Spanish required, placement testing determines your language course level if you choose to enroll
  • Full-time enrollment across chosen coursework required
  • Official transcripts issued for all coursework completed
