Program Description:

J-Term International Business in Lille
APPLY FOR THIS PROGRAMME
This two-week January programme is designed for business students who want to earn academic credit while gaining international experience in France. Based in Lille, students will study international business in one of Europe's most connected commercial regions while engaging with French and European business environments through classroom instruction, company visits, guest speakers, and applied reflection.

The programme is delivered in partnership with Learn International and Université Catholique de Lille. Academic delivery is provided by UC Lille faculty, and students will receive an official transcript through the University of Wyoming School of Record.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION


Over the course of this two-week January programme, students will study in Lille, France, at Université Catholique de Lille with support from Learn International's on-the-ground team. The programme is designed for students seeking degree-applicable business coursework while gaining international experience in a major European university city.

Students will complete an International Business course focused on the French and European business context. Topics may include the French and European business environment, international trade and the European Union, market entry strategies, cross-cultural management, global supply chains and logistics, and sustainability and business in Europe.

Beyond the classroom, students will engage with the region through company visits, guest lectures, cultural field trips, and applied business reflection activities. Lille's location near Belgium and within easy reach of Paris makes it an ideal setting for students to develop global awareness, intercultural communication skills, and a deeper understanding of international business in Europe.

Earn 3 US academic credits while studying international business in France and building practical global business skills.

HOUSING INFORMATION


Students will be housed in a centrally located hotel in Lille. Housing is based on double occupancy, with two students per room and two twin beds per room.

Weekday breakfast is included at the hotel Monday through Friday. Students will also receive access to a university meal plan for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday at university restaurants, excluding holidays. A meal card will be provided for use at university restaurants.

An unlimited local transportation pass is included. Students will receive instructions for travelling to Lille from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, and pick-up at either Lille-Europe or Lille-Flandres train station is included.

International Business
3 US Credits 

This course introduces students to international business within the context of France and the European Union. Students will examine how cultural, economic, political, and institutional factors shape business operations in France and across Europe.

Topics may include:
  • The French and European business environment
  • International trade and the European Union
  • Market entry strategies
  • Cross-cultural management
  • Global supply chains and logistics
  • Sustainability and business in Europe
Academic delivery may include:

PROGRAMME FEE


Programme Fee: $4,295 USD

Programme fees include academic delivery, housing, weekday breakfast, university meal plan, local transportation pass, cultural activities, academic/professional visits, orientation, and comprehensive on-site support.
